Terms and conditions of use
PRODUCT WARRANTY
1. Beneficiaries
The following individuals are entitled to claim the product warranty:
- The product buyer.
- The product holder.
In any case, the right to warranty must be demonstrated by presenting the purchase invoice.
2. Warranty period
The warranty period is 2 years, starting from the purchase date of the product. This applies only when our assembly service is acquired. If the assembly service is not acquired, the warranty period is 3 months.
3. Warranty coverage
- The warranty covers manufacturing defects and material quality issues. These defects include missing, incorrect, or damaged parts.
- The warranty excludes damage caused by misuse, abuse, accidents, unauthorized modification, natural disasters, or other circumstances beyond our control. Normal wear and tear from use is also not covered under the warranty.
4. Warranty Claim Process
- If a customer experiences a problem covered by the warranty, they should notify our store immediately via email at atencionclientes@bekvamcr.com. Through this email, they can follow up on the process. If the customer does not have an email, they must visit our stores and present the claim in person.
- The customer will be asked to provide photographic evidence of the problem and details of the order number and purchase date.
5. Warranty Resolution
- We will evaluate each warranty claim individually and commit to offering fair and prompt solutions. The claim resolution time may vary between 2-3 business days.
- Solutions may include replacement or refund, depending on the nature of the problem and product availability. From the resolution of the warranty, the refund or replacement may take an additional 2-3 business days.
6. Warranty for products purchased from Outlet
For products purchased from any store’s Outlet, the warranty will only cover factory defects that prevent normal operation, excluding cosmetic defects that do not compromise proper functioning.
RETURNS
1. Return possibility
Bekväm, unilaterally and as a gesture of goodwill, has decided to offer its customers the right to return unused products within a maximum period of 30 calendar days from the date of purchase, provided that the purchase was made at the physical Bekväm store. For unused products purchased through the website www.bekvam.com , returns will be accepted within a maximum of eight business days, starting from the date the product is received.
The consumer protection regulations, specifically the Law for the Promotion of Competition and Effective Consumer Protection No. 7472 and its regulations, grant consumers the right to return products within eight business days after receiving them, applicable only to home delivery or e-commerce purchases. Bekväm extends the benefit to customers who purchase our products in the physical store, allowing returns within 30 days, as outlined in these return policies. Accordingly, Bekväm is not obliged to accept returns if the established requirements and procedures are not met. If the return is approved for products purchased in the physical store, store credit will be issued to the customer for use at Bekväm.
2. Return conditions
- Products must be in their original packaging and in new condition to be eligible for return. Returns of already assembled products and those that Bekväm deems to have been used will not be accepted.
- Return shipping costs must be borne by the customer, except in the case of a return due to an error by our store.
- Bekväm is not responsible if the purchased furniture does not fit the customer’s space. For kitchen modules, if the customer acquires the measurement service, the company takes responsibility. If the customer provides their own measurements, Bekväm is not responsible.
3. Return process
- The customer must notify their intention to return the product before sending it back via email at atencionclientes@bekvamcr.com.
- A return authorization and detailed instructions for the process will be provided.
4. Proceso de reembolso o crédito en Bekväm.
Once we receive the returned product and verify it, the following steps will be taken:
- For products purchased in the physical store that are returned within the 30-calendar-day period and comply with our return policy, the customer will be granted store credit for use exclusively at Bekväm's physical location.
- For products purchased through the website that are returned within 8 business days after being received and comply with our return policy, the corresponding refund will be issued. Refunds will be processed using the same payment method used for the purchase. If the payment was made by card, the charge can only be canceled if the claim is made on the same day, and the refund timeline will depend on the issuing bank. Otherwise, the refund will be processed via electronic transfer.
5. Products purchased from Outlet
Products purchased from the Outlet, except in the case of a return due to an error by our store.
ASSEMBLY SERVICES
1. The assembly services charged do not include additional modifications requested afterward by the client. These modifications will incur an additional cost.
2. The assembly service does not include the disassembly of existing furniture in the client's home.
PAYMENTS BY BANK TRANSFER
If the payment method selected by the client is bank transfer, the only authorized accounts to receive the payment are the official accounts of our company. Payments to accounts other than those specified will not be accepted. Below are the authorized accounts for your reference:
